Clanwilliam First XV caused an upset by beating first divisions leaders Richmond 14-6 in the Munster Junior Cup last Sunday at Clanwilliam park. This win for Clanwilliam was the result of a huge effort by all the Clanwilliam players who competed intensely for every ball and showed more variety to their game than their opponents.

Clanwilliam First XV retained their promotion challenge with a 30-12 win in Bandon where a strong second half performance saw them secure the league points. The result of this game was in the balance for the first hour of play but the Clanwilliam work-rate paid off with seventeen points in the final twenty minutes. The League table now sees Clanwilliam two point ahead of Galbally and Old Christians with Christians having a game in hand.
Clanwilliam under 17's got back to winning ways when they beat Carrick-on-Suir by 28-12 in Collegelands on Sunday.

An exciting finish to this Munster Junior Cup match in Kinsale saw Clanwilliam scoring a winning drop goal in the last play of the game. In a match where defence were to the fore, there were few scoring chances but Clanwilliam made the most of the opportunities that came their way to win 12-10.
Last Sunday's win puts Clanwilliam in shape for their trip to Bandon next Sunday, a League match Clanwilliam must win to keep their promotion prospects alive. Hopefully the large number of supporters that travelled to Kinsale will again make the trip to west Cork.
Thank you to all that helped with the very successful teenage disco in the club last week-end.
