It was with shock that Clanwilliam members learned of the sudden passing of Committee Member and former player Tommy Ryan. His sudden death yesterday has left a big void in our club and he will be sorely missed by his friends and club mates.

Tommy was a tireless worker within the club and his dedication to Clanwilliam was both extraordinary and constant. He approached all issues and challenges with a sense of fun that endeared him to all of us. Tommy stood out as a character and a unique individual. He always exuded a strong pride in who he was and what he stood for. It was our great luck that he stood for Clanwilliam.

We are still coming to terms with the shocking news of his passing.
